Lot-et-Garonne is wine country: Buzet nearby, Duras just to the north, and the Côtes du Marmandais on our doorstep. Several estates within cycling distance welcome you for tastings, we’ll happily share our favourites.
Three signposted walking trails leave from La Batisse itself. The shortest follows a river, the longest reaches a viewpoint with 360° panorama.
Every morning of the week, a market somewhere nearby: Tuesday in the neighbouring town, Wednesday in the village, Friday the big weekly market in Marmande. Goat cheeses, walnuts, pruneaux d’Agen and the melons of Nérac, all fresh.
